Medicines worth Rs 4.65 lakh seized by DCA

The Telangana State Drugs Control Administration (DCA) recently conducted raids on two medical stores in Hyderabad. The first raid took place at a medical store called ‘Sri Sai Clinic’ in Ramanthapur. The store was found to be selling drugs illegally without a proper license. During the raid, the officials seized over 50 different types of medicines worth Rs 3.5 lakh.

The second raid was conducted at a medical store in Nirmal district. The store, located in Limba, was also found to be operating without a valid drug license. The owner, Mamulla Jeevan, was selling drugs unlawfully. The officials seized a total of 125 varieties of medicines worth Rs 1.60 lakh.

In both raids, the officials found a wide range of medicines being stocked for sale without proper authorization. These medicines included antibiotics, IV fluids, anti-diabetic drugs, anti-fungal drugs, anti-hypertensive drugs, analgesics, anti-ulcer drugs, and cough syrups.

Samples of the seized medicines have been taken for analysis, and further investigation will be carried out. Action will be taken against all those involved as per the law.
