Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy organized a Medigadda tour with an all-party delegation to counter a public meeting on the river Krishna water issue in Nalgonda by BRS Supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao. The tour took place on Tuesday and included ministers, ruling party MLAs, and invited KCR as well. Medigadda has gained attention after the piers of the barrage sunk last year.
The Chief Minister mentioned that a judicial probe into the Medigadda barrage will reveal important information and appropriate action will be taken. The government also plans to present a White Paper on the irrigation sector in the Assembly. Additionally, the current government will need to pay Rs 16,000 crore in interest on loans taken by the previous government for major construction projects.
