Secunderabad held a special event at the Military Hospital to mark the 59th Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) Day on August 21 and 22. The hospital set up a medical camp for families of Armed Forces personnel in the area. This camp offered a variety of essential health services, including screenings for breast and cervical cancer, eye exams, ENT check-ups, and dental assessments. The goal was to detect serious health issues early and encourage military families to take charge of their health.

Shyamanjali Misra, Chairperson of the Family Welfare Organisation in the Telangana and Andhra Sub Area, inaugurated the camp. She encouraged families to focus on their health by getting regular check-ups. Her message of health awareness was well-received by the attendees.

To spread knowledge, the camp provided educational materials on preventing breast and cervical cancer. These pamphlets included tips on spotting early symptoms, understanding risk factors, and making healthier life choices. Doctors also held interactive talks, inviting families to ask questions and emphasizing the importance of early detection and routine screenings.
