Hyderabad witnessed strong participation from the AIMIM party and various Muslim organizations in a large-scale Civil Defence mock air raid drill. The event was organized as per directions from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and took place across several city neighborhoods.

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi instructed party members, including MLAs, corporators, and booth-level leaders, to actively join the exercise. The focus was on areas like Chandrayangutta and Karwan Assembly constituencies, where many locals and party workers took part.

At Khader Bagh, near Avalon Apartments in the Karwan constituency, the mock drill saw participation from prominent leaders and officials. Karwan MLA Kausar Mohiuddin and Nampally MLA Majid Hussain joined the drill alongside Hyderabad Collector Anudeep, police, fire, medical teams, hospital representatives, and NCC cadets.

“MHA organized a nationwide mock drill. I joined the activity with Majid Hussain Saab,” said MLA Kausar Mohiuddin in a social media post.

Earlier that day, Asaduddin Owaisi expressed support for the Indian military’s strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan. Posting on social media platform X, he praised the targeted attacks and emphasized the need to dismantle Pakistan’s terror infrastructure. “The Pakistani deep state must face consequences. We must prevent another Pahalgam-like incident,” he stated, ending with “Jai Hind.”

In response to Operation Sindoor, Syed Sadatullah Hussaini, the president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, issued a statement condemning terrorism. He called it a grave threat and a crime against humanity. Hussaini stressed the importance of unity in the fight against terrorism, noting that people from all religions and communities support the actions taken by India’s armed forces and security agencies.

He urged the nation to stand together during these challenging times, reinforcing the message of national solidarity and peace.
