Telangana Tourism Minister, Jupalli Krishna Rao, highlighted the importance of the events industry for the state’s growth. He spoke at the South India Wedding Planners Congress held at the Akshay Convention Centre in Gachibowli Financial District.
Minister Rao emphasized the government’s willingness to work with the events sector. He mentioned that Telangana could become a top choice for weddings, eliminating the need for foreign venues. Unlike Rajasthan, which is famous for weddings, Telangana offers numerous historical sites, vibrant culture, and ancient palaces.
He remarked, “Our state can draw events and celebrations currently held elsewhere, significantly boosting our tourism.”
The conference also included Telangana Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Telangana Chamber of Events President Balaram Babu.
