Minister for Tribal Welfare Satyavathi Rathod carried Bathukamma at the Farmers Day celebrations in Mahabubabad district on Saturday. This event was part of the decennial Telangana Formation celebrations. During this event, Rathod talked about the government’s commitment to farmers. She mentioned Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, 24-hour free power to agriculture, and irrigation facilities as some of the schemes implemented by the government. These policies have resulted in a significant increase in paddy production. Mahabubabad MLA B Shankar Naik also praised the government’s efforts in making Telangana the rice bowl of the country by ensuring irrigation facilities to one crore acres in the last nine years.

Rathod also participated in the celebrations at Chalvai village in Mulugu district. She praised KCR’s efforts in turning Telangana into a rice bowl and making Mulugu district a tourist hub. The event was attended by several officials including ZP chairman Kusuma Jagadish, district collector Krishna Aditya, and superintendent of police Gaush Alam.
