Hyderabad: Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, responsible for State Roads & Buildings and Cinematography, has directed officials to speed up both ongoing and new projects in the department.
During a high-level meeting, the Minister stressed that even top officers like Chief Engineers should visit sites to check progress. He stated that regular review meetings would be held, and each must show measurable advancement.
He urged officials to ensure that bill payments keep pace with project execution and to take full responsibility for timely completion. All projects need visible progress, with field officers actively monitoring. The Minister noted recent promotions and postings and encouraged officers to work enthusiastically to maintain the department’s reputation.
Minister Venkat Reddy instructed the Engineer-in-Chief (ENC) to consider launching 10 Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road packages. He also pointed out the need to identify potential accident spots and curves early. They discussed specific road projects in areas like Tellapur, Ameenpur, Sangareddy, Manchal, Choutuppal, Chityal, Bhongir, Haliya, and Mallepally. The Minister mentioned that efforts to resolve land acquisition issues for better road connectivity from mandal to district headquarters are already underway. A comprehensive review of the project reports and tender processes for HAM roads is set to occur within two days.
