Hyderabad: On Sunday, State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu visited the Sri Akkanna Madanna temple in Haribouli. He presented silk garments to the goddess on behalf of the state and performed special rituals.

Minister Sridhar Babu wished people a joyful Ashada Bonala Jatara. He highlighted that Bonalu is more than a festival; it reflects the true spirit of Telangana. This celebration is a significant part of the region’s culture, passed down through generations, symbolizing unity, self-respect, and a rich history.

He explained that the term “Bonam” is deeply connected to the land of Telangana, representing the love for the Mother Goddess and the spirit of the people. The festivities, including the sound of drums, showcase the devotion and historical essence of Bonalu, vital to Telangana’s lifestyle.

He prayed for the goddess’s blessings on all Telangana residents, wishing them long, healthy, and prosperous lives. He expressed hope for the state’s prosperity under divine grace.

Golkonda Bonalu, Secunderabad Bonalu, and Lal Darwaja Bonalu are prominent festivals, showcasing Telangana’s cultural identity to the nation and the world. The government allocated Rs 20 crore for a grand celebration in the twin cities, distributing funds to 2,783 temples. This reflects the commitment of the government, led by CM Revanth Reddy, to uphold Telangana’s traditions.

Minister Sridhar Babu assured ongoing government support for preserving cultural beliefs and traditions. Under CM Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the state aims to become a model in IT and industry sectors.

During the Ashada Bonalu festival, Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council, presented silk clothes at Uppuguda Mahankali Ammavaru in Hyderabad. Welcomed by temple priests, he participated in special prayers and hoped for prosperity, good rains, and successful government welfare schemes.

Telangana Dairy Development Corporation Chairman Gutta Amit Reddy, local leaders, and temple committee Chairman Madhusudhan Goud joined the event.

State Roads, Buildings, and Cinematography Minister Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy visited the Charminar Bhagyalakshmi Temple with Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. They offered silk robes to the Goddess for the Bonala festival.

Minister Venkat Reddy extended Bonalu wishes, hoping for a good harvest and announcing that the metro will soon reach Hyderabad’s Old City, marking development. Bonalu is a globally recognized festival, making Telangana and Hyderabad proud.
