A farmers’ protest conference was recently organized in Wanaparthy under the leadership of former Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy. The event focused on the problems faced by farmers in the region. Local MLA T Harish Rao attended the event as the chief guest and criticized the Chief Minister, accusing him of misleading the public.

Rao expressed his frustration with the government, saying that instead of solving important issues like loan waivers and the ‘Rythu Bandhu’ scheme, they have been making excuses. He pointed out that the government has delayed addressing these problems by repeatedly setting new dates for loan waivers. Rao also accused the government of declaring eligible farmers ineligible, which he believes is deceiving them.

He further questioned whether there has been any real development in the district, even though the current government has been in power for nearly a year. Rao stated that while farmers continue to face struggles, the government has allocated Rs 1.5 lakh crore for the development of the Musi River, which he described as part of a political act.

Rao assured the public that the BRS party will continue fighting until the government delivers on its promise of loan waivers to farmers. He emphasized that the party is committed to revealing the government’s shortcomings and will keep working for the welfare of the people.
