South Central Railway (SCR) is planning to establish two Janaushadhi Kendras to meet the increasing passenger demand and improve rail connectivity. Additionally, three new train services will be launched, including two Vande Bharat Express trains and a passenger train.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for various railway development projects, including those in SCR. The new Vande Bharat Express will run from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam, covering a distance of 700 km in 8 hours and 45 minutes.
Two Jan Aushadi Kendras will be inaugurated in Secunderabad and Tirupati to enhance the well-being of passengers at railway stations. Indian Railways has planned to establish Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras in circulating areas and concourses of stations.
SCR’s general manager, Arun Kumar Jain, announced various projects including 193 One Station One Product Units, 9 PM Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals, 11 Goods Sheds, and 2 Jan Aushadi Kendras. The projects also include 14 Double Line, Third Line, Gauge Conversion, and Bypass Lines, as well as 3 Rail Coach Restaurants.
New trains to be flagged off on SCR include the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express, the Kalaburagi–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, and the Kollam-Tirupati Mail Express.
