A Moroccan national named Achbili Amine was deported from Hyderabad for overstaying and selling drugs. The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) arrested him. He was a student at Osmania University.

The police arrested Achbili Amine (27) for overstaying and engaging in illegal activities in Hyderabad despite his visa and passport expiration. He arrived in Hyderabad on a student visa in 2018, with a passport valid until 2021. He enrolled at Osmania University but became irregular in attending classes, instead frequenting parties and developing a drug addiction.

Achbili Amine formed friendships with a drug addict/peddler named Saeed Ali Mohammad Al Kafri and a local woman in Hyderabad. Saeed Ali Mohammad Al Kafri had been arrested previously for drug-related offenses. Movement restriction orders were issued against Achbili Amine, and he was detained at the Central Crime Station in Hyderabad.
