A case has been registered against Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy based on a complaint by BJP leader Konda Vishweshwar Reddy. Vishweshwar Reddy accused Ranjith Reddy of speaking disrespectfully and indecently to him during a meeting with BJP leaders and sarpanchs. The complaint was filed at Banjara Hills Police Station on January 20, after the incident on January 17. The case is being investigated under IPC Section 504.

The Banjara Hills Police Station sought legal advice before registering the case against MP Ranjith Reddy. The third ACMM in Nampally provided instructions to the police, leading to the registration of the case. This development has gained attention in political circles as it comes just two months before the Lok Sabha elections.
