Several senior leaders from the Congress party in Khammam joined the BRS party in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The leaders who joined include former minister Sambhani Chandrasekhar, student leader Kuturi Manvatarai, TPCC general secretary Edavelli Krishna, and many others.
In addition, Manikonda ward number 1 councillor Haimajali and her husband Anil Vallabhaneni, president of Chitrapuri Karmika Sangham, also joined BRS in the presence of KT Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan.
