Hyderabad: BJP chief and Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda, reviewed the ongoing party membership drive in Telangana on Saturday.
Nadda urged the party leaders to complete the membership drive within the next 15 days. He instructed MPs and candidates from the last parliamentary elections to visit mandals (local administrative units) to oversee the progress of the drive. Similarly, candidates from the state assembly were asked to visit assembly segments and Shakti Kendras (party organizational centers) to speed up membership enrollments.
Nadda mentioned that the party is receiving a positive response from the people in the villages of Telangana. He encouraged the party members to work with a clear goal of bringing the BJP to power in the state.
He further advised those who won in previous elections to focus on the membership drive to secure their re-election. Those who lost should work harder to win in the upcoming elections. Nadda also announced that the progress of the membership drive would be reviewed in 15 days. He offered suggestions on how the party could achieve the highest number of enrollments in the state.
Additionally, an action plan was put in place to help the BJP win the upcoming MLC (Member of Legislative Council) elections.
