Nagarjunasagar Dam remains tense

Tension arose at the Nagarjuna Sagar project when AP Police arrived at midnight on Wednesday. The disagreement was related to the sharing of water between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. When AP officials attempted to release water from Sagar, they were stopped by Telangana officials. As a result, a large number of APSP policemen were deployed in Guntur and Palnadu districts. Around 700 policemen reached the Sagar Dam and an altercation occurred between the police forces of the two states. Heavy police deployment was observed on both sides.
