The question on everyone’s mind is whether the TDP will rejoin the NDA. TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu was invited by Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a meeting in Delhi, which took place on Saturday evening. BJP national president J P Nadda was also present at the meeting, leading to speculation that the BJP and TDP may form an alliance in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources, the TBJP leaders had previously given a report to Shah stating that the TDP could be a deciding factor in 20-25 seats in Telangana, making it advantageous to join forces with Naidu. The TBJP is concerned about the upcoming elections in Telangana and has urged for a quick decision.

Meanwhile, the BRS in Telangana has been attempting to wean away some disgruntled leaders, but their efforts have not been successful. The recent outcome of the Karnataka Assembly has also given the BRS an opportunity to show that the BJP cannot be a force to reckon with. The T Congress has also started to become more aggressive and sees themselves as the real opposition to KCR.

The meeting between Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Naidu is significant, especially with regard to Andhra Pradesh. Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan recently met with BJP national leadership and suggested that Jana Sena, BJP, and TDP should join forces against the YSRCP. He also expressed concern about the divided house of AP BJP and its potential impact on their alliance with Jana Sena. Pawan favored going with Naidu to prevent the split of anti-government votes.
