Nalgonda MP and Congress CEC member N Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the Congress Working Committee meeting and the Vijaya Bheri public meeting will mark the beginning of the Congress party’s return to power in Telangana and at the Centre. These meetings will take place on September 16 and 17 in Hyderabad and Tukkuguda near Shamshabad airport.
Uttam Kumar Reddy held meetings in Kodad, Huzurnagar, and other places in his Nalgonda parliamentary constituency to gather support for the Vijaya Bheri meeting. He mentioned that the Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency has the highest Congress membership in the country, ensuring a large participation of the public in the upcoming meeting.
Furthermore, Uttam Kumar Reddy highlighted that the reconstituted Congress Working Committee meeting coincides with the 75th anniversary of the merger of the erstwhile Hyderabad State with the Indian Union on September 17, 1948.
Uttam Kumar Reddy praised Sonia Gandhi for granting statehood to Telangana, even though she knew it would lead to significant political losses for the Congress in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He emphasized that Sonia Gandhi never regretted her decision as it fulfilled the long-standing dream of the people of Telangana.
Additionally, he mentioned that the Congress will unveil five guarantees at the Vijaya Bheri meeting in the presence of Sonia Gandhi, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and other leaders.
