Nalgonda: Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, responsible for State Roads, Buildings, and Cinematography, has announced that crucial drinking water projects in Nalgonda Municipality must be finished by December 2025.

In a meeting at the Nalgonda Municipal Conference Hall, he reviewed several infrastructure initiatives such as water supply, road development, sewage, and sanitation. He stressed the importance of completing the drinking water tanks under the AMRUT scheme, with a budget of about ₹56.75 crore.

Minister Reddy urged officials to speed up operations to ensure residents have easy access to drinking water. He also requested plans for extra government funds needed to transport the water.

He highlighted the need to complete CC roads and sewage systems, funded by SDF, costing approximately ₹109 crore, within three months. If current funds are insufficient, he asked engineering teams to notify him, suggesting that work may continue 24/7 if needed.

For better waste management, he ordered the quick cleanup of the Chandanapalli Biomining Dumping Yard and called for separate collection of wet and dry waste from homes. Residents should receive separate bins, and ward officials are to number houses and distribute these bins.

Key officials, including Additional Collector Narayan Amit, Municipal Commissioner Syed Musab Ahmed, and Superintendent of Public Health Venkateshwarlu, attended the meeting. Minister Reddy plans to hold weekly reviews of these projects every Tuesday.
