The State Election Commissioner of Telangana has recently instructed all District Panchayat Officers to get the Photo Electoral Rolls for Gram Panchayats ready and published by 2nd September 2025. This directive follows Article 243-K of the Indian Constitution and the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018.

These electoral rolls will use the Photo Assembly Constituency Electoral Rolls from 1st July 2025 as a base, with the same qualification date. Ward divisions will be marked using Form-I, following Section 11(4) of the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act.

Here are the main steps for preparing and publishing the electoral rolls:

Draft Photo Electoral Rolls Display: Starting 28th August 2025, the draft rolls will be shown ward-wise at both Gram Panchayat and Mandal Praja Parishad offices.

District-Level Political Party Meetings: On 29th August 2025, District Election Authorities will meet with political party representatives.

Mandal-Level Political Party Meetings: Meetings at the Mandal level will happen on 30th August 2025 with involved MPDOs.

Objection Receipt Period: Residents can submit objections regarding voter arrangement from 28th to 30th August 2025.

Disposal of Objections: District Panchayat Officers will address all objections by 31st August 2025.

Final Publication: The finalized ward-wise Photo Electoral Rolls will be published on 2nd September 2025.
