Narayana Schools, also known as Narayana eTechno Schools, has unveiled its innovative Catalyst Lab, a first-of-its-kind mindset development and well-being facility designed to foster holistic growth among students through experiential learning. The lab was inaugurated at the institution’s Vadavalli Campus in Coimbatore, marking a significant step in the school’s commitment to nurturing confident and future-ready individuals. The institution plans to establish 20 Catalyst Labs across its campuses during the current academic year, extending the initiative to benefit students nationwide.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Thiru Rajmohan, Hon’ble Minister for School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Publicity, Government of Tamil Nadu. Other dignitaries present included Thiru V. Sampath Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu; Thirumathi Kanimozhi Santhosh, Hon’ble Member of the Legislative Assembly, Coimbatore; and Ms. Sharani Ponguru, Director of Narayana Educational Institutions.
The Catalyst Lab is designed as part of the soft skills programme for students from Grades 4 to 12. The facility offers a safe and inspiring environment built around four transformational zones: Resilience, Perseverance, Reflection and Gratitude. Through immersive, activity-based experiences, students learn to manage stress, overcome challenges with confidence, set meaningful goals, cultivate a growth mindset, practise mindfulness and self-reflection, and develop a positive outlook rooted in gratitude.
The programme encourages students to envision their aspirations while strengthening essential skills including emotional intelligence, leadership, teamwork and self-awareness. The initiative aims to build the character, courage and confidence needed for students to realise their full potential. Beyond enriching the student experience, the lab also equips educators with innovative engagement tools and encourages meaningful parental involvement, creating a collaborative ecosystem that supports every child’s holistic growth.
The initiative is aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, empowering students to grow into confident, compassionate and future-ready individuals. The lab provides students with a dedicated space to build emotional resilience, self-awareness, empathy, leadership and other essential life skills through immersive experiences, preparing them to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Sharani Ponguru, Director of Narayana Educational Institutions, said, “At Narayana Schools, we believe every child deserves an environment that nurtures confidence, character and a strong sense of purpose. The Catalyst Lab is a reflection of our commitment to holistic development, providing students with a dedicated space to build emotional resilience, self-awareness, empathy, leadership and other essential life skills through immersive experiences.”
The inauguration of the Catalyst Lab marks another significant milestone in Narayana’s 47-year legacy of transforming education through innovation and holistic learning. The initiative reflects the institution’s enduring focus on developing confidence, resilience, empathy and leadership, empowering students with the mindset and life skills to succeed in every stage of life.
