Mahabubnagar has a new leader for its journalist community. V. Narendra Chary, a senior journalist from HMTV, has been elected as the new President of the Mahabubnagar Press Club. He ran as an independent candidate and won by a clear margin.
Chary received 95 votes, beating his closest competitor, Nagaraju, who got 80 votes. With a 15-vote lead, Chary’s victory ends a long wait for the Press Club’s leadership election.
After the results, Chary thanked the journalists who voted for him. He said he was honored by the support and promised to improve the Press Club. He pledged to introduce modern facilities for all members, no matter their background.
He also assured the journalist community that he would stand with them during tough times. Chary said he would fight for their rights, welfare, and better government support.
Along with Chary’s win, several others were chosen to key roles in the Press Club:
– Anjilaiha, D. Venkatesh, and Dharan Kanth were elected as Vice Presidents.
– G. Narender Goud is the new General Secretary.
– S. Mani Prasad, P. Satish Kumar, and G. Krishna were named Joint Secretaries.
– Pallemoni Yadaiah was elected Treasurer.
The following six were chosen as Executive Members:
– K. Ramkonda
– Mohan Das
– G. Ravi Kumar
– K. Venkat Ramaulu
– Shabuddin Mulla
– Abdul Ahad Siddique
The entire election process was held in a peaceful and transparent manner. Journalists across Mahabubnagar have welcomed the new team with hope and high expectations.
