Hyderabad: On Thursday, National Sports Day was celebrated at Gachibowli Stadium. This special event took place on the eve of the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, a legendary figure in Indian hockey.
During the celebration, the Sports Authority of Telangana recognized and honored athletes who have excelled at the international level. These athletes were awarded cheques of Rs 5 lakh for their outstanding performances.
Several notable figures attended the event, including Ministers Seethakka, D Sridhar Babu, and other dignitaries. As part of the celebration, an exhibition match was organized. This match featured junior and sub-junior boys and girls teams, showcasing the talents of young hockey players.
