Warangal – Young cadets from the 10(T) Battalion NCC, Warangal, took part in a week-long Annual Training Camp-1 at Greenwood High School in Hasanparthy. The camp aimed to strengthen their interest in the Armed Forces and sharpen their leadership and survival skills.
The camp included hands-on training in map reading, using a prismatic compass, obstacle navigation, tent pitching, and key communication skills like elocution, debate, and group discussions. These activities helped cadets build confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
A special focus was placed on preparing students aiming to join the Agniveer program. They went through a mock selection test, giving them a real sense of the recruitment process and where they stand.
Cadets hoping to join the Thal Sainik Camp, a prestigious NCC event, were also evaluated through drills and other selection rounds. On the eighth day, cadets showcased their talents in a colorful cultural program filled with patriotic songs, skits, and dances celebrating national pride.
The final day saw a special visit from Col. Sachin Nimbalkar, Veer Chakra awardee and Warangal Group Commander. He praised the cadets for their dedication and urged them to balance their NCC training with strong academic performance. He stressed that doing well in studies remains key to future success.
Camp Commandant Col. Senthil Ramadhurai and Deputy Camp Commandant Lt. Col. Ravi Sungare applauded the cadets’ enthusiasm and participation throughout the camp. They encouraged the students to apply what they learned in their daily lives.
Organizing the camp were key team members including Subedar Major Jay Ram Singh, Training JCO Prem Chaurasia, Battalion Havildar Major Sandeep, and others. Their efforts made the camp a smooth and enriching experience for all the cadets involved.
