A wave of discipline and patriotism filled Johnson Grammar School – ICSE in Kuntloor as they held their NCC Raising Ceremony on Friday. This event celebrated the official start of their Junior Division Unit under the 1 (T) Battalion NCC – JD Wing.

Lieutenant Colonel K. S. Pandiyan, the Officiating Commanding Officer of the 1 (T) Battalion NCC, attended as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the significant influence of the NCC on young people, saying it is more than just wearing a badge or uniform. “NCC represents a commitment to the nation, a mindset of service, and a journey of self-discovery and leadership,” he shared.

The event included a Flag Hoisting, symbolizing the beginning of the NCC tradition at the school. A multimedia presentation honored the NCC’s core values of unity, discipline, and service.
