A Nepali gang has committed a major robbery in Hyderabad, targeting a doctor couple residing in Gulf Enclave within the Jawahar Nagar police station limits. The incident comes shortly after the city witnessed the shocking murder of a former IPS officer’s wife, allegedly by members of a similar gang. In the latest case, Dr. Vijayalakshmi and Muralimohan were drugged and tied up before the gang looted their residence. The accused have been identified as having stolen 60 tolas of gold and Rs. 30,000 in cash from the couple’s home.

According to preliminary information, the robbery was carried out by a group of seven people, including two Nepali nationals who had joined work at the residence just 13 days ago. The gang allegedly administered drugs to the couple before restraining them by tying their hands and feet. The accused then proceeded to search the house thoroughly and escaped with the valuable gold ornaments and cash. The modus operandi suggests a well-planned operation, with the newly employed domestic workers providing inside information to facilitate the crime.
