New Chief of Police appointed in Rachakonda amidst department shake-up

The Rachakonda Commissionerate has a new Commissioner and two new DCPs following government transfers on Wednesday. Senior IPS officer G Sudheer Babu has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, replacing Tarun Joshi who has been moved to Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Additionally, Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat has been transferred to Additional Director General of Police Law and Order.

Swati Lakra, previously serving as Additional DGP TGSP Battalion, Hyderabad, has been transferred to Additional DGP Organisation and Home Guards, while M Stephen Raveendra now holds the position of Additional DG Greyhounds, Telangana. Vijay Kumar, who was serving as Greyhounds and Octopus ADG, has been reassigned to ADG of Police, Personnel in Telangana.

Sanjay Kumar Jain is now the Additional DG of TGSP Battalions in Hyderabad, while S Chandrasekhar Reddy has been transferred to IG Multi-Zone-I. K Ramesh Naidu has been appointed as IG Railways and Road Safety, and V Satyanarayana is now IG Multi-Zone-II. Rakshitha K Murthy is now the Deputy Commissioner of Police at CAR Headquarters in Hyderabad.

In other changes, D Uday Kumar Reddy has been moved from Hyderabad South West Zone DCP to Medak SP, while R Giridhar is now the Wanaparthy SP. B Bala Swamy has taken over as DCP for Hyderabad East Zone, and G Chandra Mohan is the new DCP for West Zone, Hyderabad.
