Hyderabad, Telangana: The long-pending Manneguda–Hyderabad road development works have gained significant momentum, with officials preparing to complete the 46.8 km four-lane upgrade at an estimated cost of ₹1,138 crore. Authorities have announced that the project is targeted for completion by December 2026.
According to officials, the Environment Clearance (EC) for the road works has been approved. The proposal related to this project is currently under the scrutiny of the 21-member District Level Committee.

The Manneguda–Hyderabad stretch, which remained stalled for years, is now seeing rapid progress.

The widening of the road to four lanes is expected to improve traffic flow and enhance safety.
The National Highways Authority has also proposed two major bridges as part of the expansion. Additionally, 2,500 trees along the project route have been identified for removal, for which permissions are being processed.
Completion Target: December 2026
Officials confirmed that the project, which includes ₹900 crore for civil works, will be executed in a phased manner. All permissions, including environmental clearances, have now been obtained, enabling the work to proceed at full scale.
The authorities stated that the road project will be completed and made operational by December 2026, subject to timely progress of ongoing construction.
