The outgoing Commissioner of Police in Warangal, A V Ranganath, has made a lasting impression during his short time in the position. Ranganath, who took charge in December of last year, focused on tackling the issue of land grabbing in the city. He did not spare anyone involved in these cases, regardless of their political affiliations. This tough stance led to a surge in complaints at the grievance cell, prompting the police to make changes to the redressal system. Ranganath also prioritized chit fund cases and encouraged his subordinates to investigate the root causes of crimes. Despite being transferred due to upcoming elections, Ranganath expressed his attachment to the people of Warangal and his willingness to return if given the opportunity.
No one involved in land-grabbing is spared by outgoing CP Ranganath in Warangal.
