Former cricketer Ambati Rayudu has confirmed that he will be participating with the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming ILT20 tournament in Dubai, starting on January 20, 2024. He emphasized the importance of remaining politically neutral while being involved in professional sports. This announcement came after Rayudu resigned from the YSRCP. His exit from the party raised questions about the circumstances surrounding his departure. However, Rayudu’s announcement clarified the speculation and put an end to rumors.
Rayudu retired from the IPL in 2023 after his team, Chennai Super Kings, won the tournament. He joined the YSRCP on December 28 in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, and Rajampeta Lok Sabha member P Mithun Reddy.
