Non-Bailable Case Registered Against Ashu Reddy for Allegedly Cheating Software Engineer of Rs 9.35 Crore

Hyderabad – A non-bailable case has been registered against Actress Ashu Reddy and her family members for allegedly cheating a software engineer of Rs 9.35 crore, 5 kg gold, plots, and expensive vehicles on the pretext of marriage. The complaint was filed by Y.V. Dharmendra, son of Yenumula Satyanarayana from the Shaikpet region, who works as a software engineer in London.

According to the complaint, Dharmendra met Ashu Reddy in 2018 when he came to India. Within a few days of their acquaintance, Ashu Reddy allegedly expressed her love for him and proposed marriage. The situation escalated when Ashu Reddy’s family called a priest and rushed to confirm the marriage relationship with Dharmendra, creating an impression of a serious commitment.

Following the alleged marriage promise, Ashu Reddy and her family members reportedly took substantial amounts of money and valuables from Dharmendra and his family. The complaint details that the accused received approximately Rs 9.35 crore in cash, 5 kilograms of gold, and also acquired flats and expensive vehicles. Additionally, Ashu Reddy’s sister allegedly received Rs 50 lakh from the victim’s family.

Satyanarayana, the father of the victim, stated in his complaint that despite receiving such substantial amounts, Ashu Reddy later refused to marry his son. The family approached the police after their repeated requests for marriage or return of the money and valuables were allegedly ignored by Ashu Reddy and her family members.

Based on the complaint, police have registered a non-bailable case against Ashu Reddy and her family members. An FIR has been filed and the investigation is currently underway. The police are examining all the evidence and documents provided by the complainant’s family to verify the allegations.

The investigating officers are collecting detailed information about the transactions, property transfers, and other financial dealings between the two families.
