India Fine Art, Mumbai, organized the inaugural edition of NEWS ART FEST (North, East, West, South Art Fest) 2024 from February 17th to March 7th, 2024, at the Chitramayee State Gallery of Art in Madhapur, Hyderabad. The event celebrated Indian contemporary art diversity and was curated by Manvinder Dawer, Dr. Laxman Aelay, and Bolgum Nagesh Goud.
The show opened on February 17th with Mrs. Shailaja Ramaiyer IAS as the chief guest and Mrs. Sudha Reddy as the guest of honor. Renowned artists like Anjolie Ela Menon, G Subramanian, Prabhakar Kolte, Gurcharan Singh, Shobha Broota, Vimmi Indra, and Asit Patnaik were also present at the event.
NEWS ART FEST 2024 was a celebration of creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange, featuring works of over 200 contemporary Indian artists in various genres like paintings, sculptures, installations, and new media art. The festival also included art historical talks, panel discussions, art installations, film screenings, and performances.
The festival began with an onsite Art Camp from February 12th to 17th, where attendees could interact with senior contemporary artists. It also had an exclusive preview on February 17th to give a glimpse of the diverse artworks on display.
The heart of NEWS ART FEST 2024 was its Art Show, showcasing over 200 artists’ works in different styles and mediums. The festival also featured art historical talks, panel discussions, workshops on folk art, new media art installations, film screenings, and live performances curated by experts Anand Gadapa and Dr. Nirmala Biluka.
NEWS ART FEST 2024 aimed to showcase the best of Indian artistic practices in Hyderabad while providing a platform for established and emerging artists. The festival was a unique opportunity to make art accessible and affordable to art collectors and the public.
