Notorious burglar caught in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A man involved in multiple thefts has been arrested by the Task Force (South-East) team along with the Humayun Nagar police. The police recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 1.7 lakh from him on Monday.

The accused, Shaik Saddam Hussain, is a 32-year-old carpenter from Mallepally in Habeebnagar. According to police, he had been stealing from locked houses and robbing passengers on crowded RTC buses with the help of his associates since 2010. He has been involved in 46 theft and property-related cases in the past.

In 2024, he was arrested by Narayanaguda police and sent to judicial remand. However, after being released on bail, he continued committing thefts. Recently, he snatched a gold chain from a woman at the Mehdipatnam bus stop. Following a complaint, the Humayun Nagar police investigated the case, identified him, and arrested him.
