BJP to Celebrate Foundation Day from April 6 to 15

Hyderabad: The Telangana State BJP has announced that it will organize several events from April 6 to 12 to celebrate the party’s foundation day, which falls on April 6.

BJP State General Secretary Kasam Venkateswarlu shared this information during a press meet on Monday. He said that a meeting was held with newly elected district presidents, led by Union Minister and BJP Telangana President G. Kishan Reddy. Other leaders present included Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. K. Laxman, MP Etala Rajender, State In-Charge Abhay Patil, and MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy.

The meeting discussed both organizational matters and upcoming programmes. On April 6, the BJP flag will be hoisted at all party booths across the state, starting from the central and state offices and continuing at all district offices.

On April 8 and 9, the BJP will hold meetings with active party workers at the mandal level. From April 10 to 12, the party will carry out ‘Gaon Chalo’ and ‘Basti Chalo Abhiyan’ campaigns. These will include cleanliness drives and meetings with people who benefit from central government schemes, as well as public gatherings in villages and urban areas.

Flag hoisting events will also be held at the homes of party workers. On April 14, the party plans to conduct cleanliness programmes near Ambedkar statues. On April 15 and 16, discussion groups will be held at the district level.

BJP leaders said they want to expose how the Congress party disrespected Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. They plan to hold forums to highlight how the BJP has shown respect towards him.

In addition, the party will run public awareness events on the idea of ‘One Nation – One Election.’ Cultural and intellectual events will also be held to mark the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. These include poetry gatherings and talks with educated citizens, scientists, ex-servicemen, and other intellectuals.

The BJP currently has 40.78 lakh registered members in Telangana, including 45,000 active members spread across 22,000 polling booth committees. The formation of all booth committees is expected to be completed by April 15.

The meeting also focused on preparing for upcoming local body elections. The BJP aims to raise awareness about the central government’s schemes and financial aid. Special attention will be given to farmers’ issues, especially those who lost crops across 10 lakh acres due to untimely rains.

Lastly, the BJP strongly criticized the state government. They accused the Chief Minister of misusing police power to arrest students and trying to sell university lands. The BJP said it would firmly oppose any such attempts.
