Khammam: NVSS Prabhakar, a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Uppal MLA, criticized the Congress government strongly. He accused them of cheating the Backward Classes (BCs) with false surveys and altered data.
During a press conference on Saturday as part of his district visit, Prabhakar accused the Congress of showing fake concern for BCs, describing it as “deceitful love.” He argued that the government is using BC rights for political gain.
He mentioned that a past survey under the BRS government showed that BCs made up about 55% of the population.
“Why does the current survey, conducted by the Revanth Reddy-led government, show fewer BCs, despite using the same administrative staff?” he questioned.
Prabhakar demanded answers for these data inconsistencies, alleging a plot to politically weaken BCs. He warned that including other groups in the BC list is a betrayal.
He criticized the Congress’s 42% reservation proposal, saying it harms real BCs. “Even Muslims benefit from the 10% EBC quota. The main gainer of this flawed policy will be the AIMIM party,” he claimed.
Prabhakar mocked Congress’s claims, likening their affection for BCs to “Dhritarashtra’s blind hug,” suggesting it’s emotional but harmful. He accused Congress of misleading the public with empty promises instead of real solutions.
