The Ordnance Factory Medak (OFMK) signed a contract with the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) for the supply of 10 CRN-91 guns. The contract was handed over by Deputy Inspector General Bhibhuti Ranjan to General Manager P Babji at Coast Guard Headquarters in New Delhi.
The CRN-91 gun is a naval version of the 30 mm automatic gun used on ships. It is gyro stabilized and controlled by an electro-optic Fire Control System (FCS) for day and night use. The gun can be operated remotely and is mounted on an improvised cupola.
This contract marks an important partnership between OFMK and ICG, ensuring the supply of essential equipment for the Coast Guard’s operations. The collaboration will enhance the capabilities of the Indian Coast Guard in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.
