Hyderabad: On Thursday, in celebration of Rahul Gandhi's birthday, T Jagga Reddy, the TPCC working president, offered Rs 10 lakh to help a cancer patient named Hari Krishna Prasad from Thallapalli village in the Sangareddy constituency. Prasad, who has been battling cancer, comes from a financially struggling family. With his income of just Rs 13,000 per month from his job at a Gurukula school, Prasad couldn’t afford the expensive cancer treatment. Reddy decided to cover the entire cost of Prasad’s medical care. Prasad has a family with his wife Shailaja, a daughter in LKG, and a son in first grade.
Prasad’s cancer was diagnosed three months ago, and his family had already spent a large sum on treatment. With no funds left, they were in a desperate situation. When Reddy learned about this through his followers, he was touched and chose to help. On Thursday, he provided the financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to Prasad.
Reddy assured Prasad and his family of continued support and urged them to remain hopeful. He also promised to seek additional help through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to cover previous treatment costs. Prasad’s family expressed deep gratitude for Reddy’s generosity.
