Hyderabad: About 1 million farmers in Telangana will soon receive title deeds for their Sada Bainama lands. The Telangana High Court has made a significant decision granting these farmers full rights to their lands. For years, farmers have been asking for these lands, purchased through informal agreements on bond and white papers, to be officially recognized.

Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, responsible for Revenue, Housing, Information, and Public Relations, announced that the Bhu Bharati Act will address the Sada Bainama applications. Previously, the 2020 ROR Act did not offer a solution for these applications, leaving 9.26 lakh requests unresolved. This led some individuals to seek help from the High Court.

The government has now added specific rules in the Bhu Bharati Act to tackle the Sada Bainama issue. During farmer and public meetings, 8.60 lakh applications were collected under this act. The government is committed to resolving each application diligently, ensuring all farmers receive the recognition they deserve.
