Hyderabad: Dr. Pallam Praveen, a professor and head of the General Surgery Department, has developed a new treatment for Grade III and Grade IV Haemorrhoids. His method, called the Pallam's Painless Hybrid Laser Sandwich Procedure, has been recognized by the International Journal of Surgery.
This innovative procedure combines traditional and laser surgery techniques. It significantly reduces pain and almost eliminates recurrence, while preserving the sphincter to prevent incontinence. Patients can leave the hospital on the same day, making recovery swift and convenient. Over the past four years, Dr. Praveen has successfully used this method in more than 500 surgeries.
Colleagues at Osmania Medical College and Osmania General Hospital praised Dr. Praveen’s work. The hospital’s superintendent, Dr. Rakesh Sahay, commended him for enhancing medical knowledge and honored him for his outstanding contribution.
