    The University College of Engineering, Osmania University, won the Southern Regional Round of the NTPC Electron Quiz held on February 3, 2025. The team from JNTU College of Engineering secured the runner-up position in the competition.

    A total of 46 engineering and management colleges participated in the quiz, with 96 teams registering for the event. After a preliminary round, six top teams advanced to the finals. The top two teams from the finals will now move on to compete in the National Round, which will take place in New Delhi.

    The event was graced by Professor Kumar Molugaram, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, as the Chief Guest. Shri S.N. Panigrahi, General Manager (HR) of NTPC Southern Region Headquarters, attended as the Guest of Honour.

    The winning team received a prize worth ₹30,000, while the runners-up were awarded ₹20,000. The team that placed third won ₹10,000. The remaining three finalists were each given prizes worth ₹4,000.
