Hyderabad: Professor Perumalla Naveen Kumar, who teaches Electronics and Communication Engineering at Osmania University, has been honored with the IETE Professor K Sreenivasan Memorial Award 2024. This award was given to him by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in New Delhi.
Professor Naveen Kumar has had a very successful career. He has published over 120 research papers and worked on important projects with ISRO. He also set up the Advanced GNSS Research Laboratory at Osmania University.
In addition, Professor Naveen Kumar played a key role in launching ‘Osmania TV,’ which is the first university satellite TV channel. He has completed several major and minor research projects funded by organizations like the Space Applications Centre, ISRO, the Department of Science and Technology, and the World Bank’s TEQIP program.
