Hyderabad: Professor Kumar Molugaram, the Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, opened the Inter-Collegiate Cultural Competitions for the academic year 2024-25 on Friday.
The two-day event has brought together about 900 students from 188 colleges. These students are showing their talents in dance, music, theatre, literary events, and fine arts.
Professor Molugaram spoke about the importance of these activities. He said they are not just fun or extra events, but important experiences that help students build leadership skills, work well in teams, and become more resilient. These qualities are important for success in today’s world.
He also highlighted how the arts help shape well-rounded people who can handle challenges and make positive contributions to society.
A senior official from Osmania University added, “This event shows how powerful the arts can be. It’s not just a competition—it can change lives and help shape our country’s future.”
