The PACS Chairmen’s Forum in the old Palamuru district has criticized reports they claim are damaging the bank’s reputation.
At a press meeting on Monday, the Forum addressed claims about the DCCB headquarters wall construction. They clarified that five years ago, any issues were resolved, funds were recovered, and responsible parties faced action.
Forum leaders, including president Potula Madhusudhan Reddy, general secretary Palem Sudarshan Goud, and others, confirmed the new wall was built according to current requirements and tender rules, denying any new irregularities. They accused some of misleading the public by linking past issues with the new construction.
Regarding alleged computer purchase scams, the Forum stated that the current chairman and officials are not involved. Past corruption was investigated, funds were recovered, and those responsible were disciplined.
They accused former CEO Lakshmaiah and some suspended staff of spreading false information to undermine the bank’s credibility. The Forum urged for criminal charges against those making unfounded claims.
Additionally, they emphasized that purchases for customer convenience, like furniture and machinery, followed regulations.
The Forum also accused the former CEO of taking Rs 1 crore from nine PACS chairmen under false pretenses, demanding legal action and fund recovery.
