Hyderabad: To celebrate the 12th State Formation Day, Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) started the “Quality Seeds to Every Village” initiative across Telangana.

On Monday, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao distributed quality seed kits to 10 farmers in Bhadradri Kothagudem during the celebrations.

In Ranga Reddy, the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aldas Janaiah, joined Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, MLA Malreddy Rangareddy, and District Collector Narayana Reddy to hand out seed kits to another 10 farmers.

Throughout the state, officials including ministers, public representatives, and district collectors participated as chief guests. They distributed seed kits to about 300 progressive farmers during the celebrations.

PJTAU aims to provide quality seeds to roughly 40,000 farmers in 11,000 villages through this program.

On State Formation Day, around 300 farmers received seed kits. The remaining farmers will get their kits on June 3 at local Rythu Vedika centers, with public representatives and university officials present.
