PM Modi Receives Highest Honors from Fiji and Papua New Guinea; Reviewing International Awards Conferred Upon Him Until Now

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded the highest honours by Fiji and Papua New Guinea for his global leadership and championing the cause of the Global South. During his visit to Fiji, PM Modi was conferred with the country’s highest civilian award, “Companion of the Order of Fiji,” by his counterpart, Sitiveni Rabuka. Meanwhile, during his visit to Papua New Guinea to attend the third India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit, he was awarded the “Companion of the Order of Logohu” for championing the cause of unity among Pacific Island countries and spearheading the cause of the Global South.

PM Modi has received several honorary awards from various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Palestine, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Maldives, Bahrain, and the United States. He was also honoured by Bhutan with the highest civilian decoration, “Order of the Druk Gyalpo,” in December 2021. Additionally, he has received awards from organisations such as the Seoul Peace Prize Cultural Foundation, the UN, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Cambridge Energy Research Associates CERA.
