    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep concern over the SLBC tunnel collapse. He contacted Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to inquire about the situation.

    During their conversation, Modi assured the Chief Minister that the central government would provide all necessary help for the rescue operations. He confirmed that National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams would be sent to the site immediately. He also reiterated the Centre’s full support in the ongoing rescue efforts.

    Chief Minister Revanth Reddy informed the Prime Minister about the swift rescue operations that began soon after the collapse. He also requested additional support from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Defence. To ensure effective coordination, the Chief Minister sent Irrigation Department officials to the site in a special helicopter.

    Top officials, including Director-General of Fire Services G V Narayana Rao and IG Satyanarayana of Multi Zone-II, have been overseeing the disaster management teams. They are making sure that all necessary security measures are in place.

    Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that Robin Company, a globally recognized firm specializing in tunnel excavation, is handling the work. JP Associates, known for its expertise in infrastructure projects, is also actively involved in the rescue mission. The state government is providing all necessary technical support and resources to speed up the operation.

    However, the opposition party BRS has criticized the government, blaming it for failing to take necessary precautions to prevent the accident.
