Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Unit has filed a case against a YouTuber for allegedly targeting and defaming actor Vishnu Manchu and his production company.
The complaint was filed by Siva Balaji, a member of the Movie Artists Association (MAA). The YouTuber, identified as Vijay Chandrahasan Deverakanda, faces charges under Sections 66 C and D of the IT Act and 351(2) BNS.
According to the complaint, Vijay Chandrahasan has been posting false and harmful content about Vishnu Manchu on YouTube and social media. His videos allegedly contain derogatory remarks aimed at the actor and other members of the film industry. It is believed that the YouTuber is doing this to increase views on his channel and achieve personal objectives.
The videos reportedly use offensive language and focus heavily on defaming Vishnu Manchu and MAA. The victim has provided the authorities with details of the accused’s YouTube channels, video links, and other social media profiles.
