Police in Hyderabad uncover fake stamp paper scam

The Hyderabad city Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone teams along with Hussaini Alam police have busted a fake stamp paper racket and arrested two people. The accused were providing old date stamp papers and creating fake documents to file fraudulent cases in court. The police seized 186 stamp papers, rubber stamps, death certificates, and two mobile phones from the accused.

The arrested individuals are Mohd Syed Azheruddin (41) and Mohammed Inayath Ali (46). The main culprit, Firoz, who created the fake bond papers and stamps, is currently on the run.

The accused formed a gang and collected old stamp papers from various sources. They were selling old notary stamp papers of denominations Rs 100, 50, 20, and 10, and using them to create fake documents with old dates. They then cheated the government by filing false cases in court. The police have registered a case under sections 468, 469, 471, and 420, and the investigation is ongoing.
