    A police officer was injured in Hyderabad during a vehicle check at Nagarjuna Circle in Punjagutta on Friday. The incident happened when a car hit the officer as it tried to escape.

    The injured officer, a home guard named Ramesh, was dragged by the car for some distance before the vehicle sped away. The police were conducting a check as part of an operation targeting cars with black film on their windows.

    When Ramesh tried to stop the car, the driver refused to stop, leading to the home guard being injured. The Punjagutta traffic police have filed a complaint and have started an investigation to find the driver.
