Hyderabad Police Raid Pub for Indecent Activities

The Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) conducted a raid on a pub in Sanathnagar late Tuesday night. The raid was carried out at the Evergreen Family Bar and Restaurant near Moosapet metro station after reports of an indecent dance party. During the operation, police detained 10 female dancers and two DJs. However, the bar manager managed to escape. A case has been registered against the bar owner.

The raid followed the circulation of videos online showing obscene dancing taking place at the establishment. According to the police, women had been paid and allegedly exploited to perform indecent acts to entertain male patrons. The pub management was reportedly allowing these activities, which created a nuisance and violated legal norms.

Officials revealed that the family bar had been unlawfully converted into a dance bar, where female dancers were encouraged to expose their bodies and engage in inappropriate behavior with customers. Such practices are prohibited under Indian law.

The SOT, in collaboration with the local police, arrested those involved and handed them over to the Sanathnagar police station for further investigation. Efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest Krishna Raju, the owner of the pub.

This is not the first incident of its kind. In October last year, police raided TOSS Bar in Banjara Hills, leading to 140 arrests, including 42 women. That raid uncovered illegal activity, including inappropriate dance performances. Investigations revealed that TOSS Bar was operating without a valid license and was exploiting female dancers to attract male patrons while inflating bills. Authorities stated that such establishments were unlawfully profiting through these activities.

Police continue to crack down on illegal practices in pubs and bars across Hyderabad to ensure adherence to laws and prevent exploitation.
