Amidst the election code before the upcoming Telangana assembly elections, election officials and the police are conducting inspections in different places.
On Saturday morning, an inspection was carried out in Banjara Hills, where Rs. 3.50 crores was found with a person. Since there was no receipt for the money, it was given to the Election Returning Officer.
It has been found that the money was reportedly brought from neighboring states and being distributed among political parties. The income tax officials are investigating the matter.
